Talk Lounge is a kind of foreign language study group for Suwon citizens including office workers and university students based in Suwon. It is running with English, Chinese, Japanese and Spanish, so it is really popular program of our SWCIC(Suwon Center for International Cooperaton). There is an foreign advisor in each class, and his role in this class is not an instructor but a leader leading conversation with participants.

Because of Covid-19 hitting the world in 2020, Talk Lounge, which is one of the main programs of SWCIC, has made a change in operation method. This second-half of Talk Lounge selects a way of Un-tact meeting system, using a ZOOM application. Thanks to its change, participants who used to take part in this program can be together again. Classes have been started since last 7th September, and it will be lasting 3 months.

토크라운지: 외국어로 자유로운 분위기 속에서 소통하기

 토크라운지는 수원시 소재의 직장인 및 대학생을 포함하여 수원시민을 대상으로 하는 일종의 외국어 스터디입니다. 영어, 중국어, 일본어는 물론이고 스페인어반까지 운영되고 있어 매번 인기가 많은 프로그램입니다. 해당 회화반에는 원어민 어드바이저가 한 명씩 함께 하게 되고, 원어민 어드바이저는 해당언어의 강사가 아닌 참여 회원들 간의 대화를 리드하는 리더의 역할을 맡고 있습니다.

2020년, 전 세계를 강타한 코로나-19로 인해 수원시 국제교류 센터의 주요 사업 중 하나인 토크라운지 역시 변화를 맞이했습니다. 이번 2020년 하반기에 진행되고 있는 토크라운지는 현 상황에 맞게 ZOOM 화상회의 프로그램을 이용한 비대면 방식으로 이뤄지고 있습니다. 상황에 맞게 토크라운지 운영에도 변화를 준 덕분에, 토크 라운지를 이용해오던 회원들의 걱정을 덜 수 있게 되었습니다. 9월 7일에 개강한 토크 라운지는 앞으로 약 3개월 간 더 진행될 예정입니다.
