Exploring Suwon for international students

On May 18, 2024, an ‘Exploring Suwon for international students’ program was held for 80 new foreign students at universities in Suwon area.

In the morning, there was a brief opening ceremony and ice-breaking activities. While in the afternoon, participants were divided into four themed programs, followed by a return home. I participated in the program called “Beauty and Taste of Suwon.”

As an organizer of the program, I am sure there were many shortcomings. However, thanks to my fellow organizers and the people in charge of each program, we were able to complete it with the highest level of quality possible. Additionally, it gave me an opportunity to deeply reflect on what kind of management will be necessary for future programs.

If given the chance to organize such a program again, I would be more than willing to participate as a top priority.

수원시 유학생 지역이해 프로그램

지난 2024년 5월 18일 수원권 대학교 신입 외국인 유학생 80명을 대상으로 한 유학생 지역이해 프로그램이 진행되었다.

오전에는 간단한 개회식과 아이스 브레이킹이 있었으며, 오후에는 4가지 테마로 분류된 세부 프로그램을 진행하고 귀가했다. 기자 본인은 ‘수원의 멋과 맛’이라는 프로그램에 참여했다.

프로그램을 진행하는 입장으로서 분명 부족한 점들이 많았을 것이다. 하지만 나 뿐만 아니라 프로그램을 진행한 동기들과 각 프로그램의 책임자분들 덕분에 최대한 완성도 있게 마무리한 것 같다. 또한 나아가 앞으로 진행될 프로그램에 어떤 운영이 필요할지에 대해 깊이 생각하는 계기를 부여받았다.

본인은 이와 같은 프로그램을 다시 진행할 수 있다면 누구보다도 우선적으로 참여하고 싶다.
