The 9th Suwon Multicultural Unity Festival, which is the event managed by the city, was successfully held on May 22 at a concert stage in Ingye-dong.
about 5,000 people were invited to the festival including multicultural families and Suwon citizens. During the event, global traditional clothing fashion show took place and also various folk concerts were performed.

Besides, rainbow-colored rice cakes symbolizing multicultural families were given to visitors, which was really popular. A citizen who came to the festival said, “This is my first time to participate in the festival so I didn’t expect that there would be a lot of foreigners who live in Suwon like this. This event was a good occasion to learn about them.”
During the festival, a bazaar was held under Suwon City Council of Women. Various items were sold at low prices at the bazaar. “Money gained from this bazaar will be spent for the foreign residents.”, officials said.
